Federal Funding
Under the agreement, PEI will receive $35 million in federal funding over four years. This will help lower out-of-pocket costs for drugs covered under public plans for eligible Island residents.
Federal funding will also help PEI to add more drugs to the formulary.
The agreement helps those who are most vulnerable, such as uninsured Islanders, seniors, and families with the high burden of medication cost.
